Web3 Hackathon 2.0
Greetings Web3 enthusiast, thank you for attending our first Web3 Hackathon, thanks to you the event was a success. That is why we want to invite you to the Web3 Hackathon 2.0, it will be celebrated from November 11 to December 4, ending one day before the beginning of Blockchain week!
Everybody is invited to this open event, which is intended to promote the mass adoption of Web3 Technologies. Prizes are limited to local project teams that comply with the Hackathon requirements, rules will be posted on the Web3 Hackathon Devpost page.
Important Dates:
November 11 (4:30 PM - 9:00 PM) : In-Person Meetup - Opening Ceremony
November 12 (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM) : In-Person Mentor Meetup - First Hacking Day
November 13 - December 2: Remote Hacking - Comms through the Evolving Space Discord
In-Person Mentor Meetups may be announced throughout the Hackathon duration
December 3 (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) : In-Person Meetup - Hacking Day #2 and mentor feedback
December 4 (12:00 pm - 7:00 PM) : In-Person Event - Presentation Day & Closing Ceremony
In order to participate, you MUST be able to PRESENT YOUR FINAL SOLUTION AT THE CLOSING CEREMONY IN-PERSON on DEC 4.

The PRBTA, IEEE, and Evolving Space will partner with The Opportunity Project (TOP) from Census Open Innovation Labs in the U.S. Census Bureau to leverage TOP Puerto Rico problem statements and federal data sets in this collaboration. The Web3 hackathon will anchor in the following problem statements/challenges:
(1) Building Community and Individual Climate Resilience. (Federal Emergency Management Agency)
(2) Helping Communities Access Infrastructure Grant Funding. (White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and U.S. Department of Commerce)
(3) Enhancing Children’s Resilience to Adversity in Puerto Rico. (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Instituto del Desarrollo de la Juventud)
Projects should include some or all of the following concepts:
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs)
Gaming Concepts
The main and sponsor challenges will be revealed on the opening ceremony, Nov 11, in Engine-4.
